Francine: “Riding has no borders” 

This is the story of a teenage girl who took her passion for horse-riding to a whole new level when she jumped off her horse at the age of 14 and got on her brother-in-law’s Suzuki 380 GT.
“That was the first time I realized another sport could bring me as much freedom, precision and balance as horse-riding ever had” says Francine.

In 1981, Francine bought her first “iron horse” (a trail Yamaha 125cc) and biking became part of her everyday life.

Twenty years later, her 8-year-old son was safely seating at the back of the bike and ready to hit the road with his mum!

Today, Francine rides twice a week (sometimes with her son) and explores new landscapes. A few years ago, she spent 8 days and 2000km travelling across France from Alsace to Biarritz. She is now planning another road trip in Tunisia with her friends.

6 years ago, while she was running her own business and raising her 11-year-old child, she finally bought her very first bike: a KTM 690.

Since then, Marie has joined a biking club, rides more than two times a week and has taken her passion to a next level travelling across India reaching peaks up to 5000m high!

Marie’s 17 year old son is now counting down the days to take his license and join her mum in her two-wheel-adventures. One thing is for sure though: he will have to pay as much attention to protection as her mum does.

Sylvie: “Adaptability is key”

Sylvie is the happy mother of a lovely 7 year old boy who still has no idea how cool her biker mum is…

Sylvie has always been passionate about motor sports and she was 20 when her boyfriend taught her how to ride a bike.

In 1996, she bought her first BETA Alp 250cc and started riding across the Eastern Belgian countryside. “Riding was not only a sport. It was an adventure, a feeling of freedom” explains Sylvie.

Sylvie has grown a passion for enduro and it’s no surprise that her best biking memory is her Tunisian raid from Douz to Djerba in the hot sand of North Africa. “Riding in such conditions can be technical and it’s important that your bike and your equipment are adapted to you” says the lady biker.

Sylvie has indeed equipped herself with a lighter and more manageable bike but has never really found a comfortable (yet protective) gear…
